Before you start submitting to different search engines, let's make sure that your website is ready for submission to search engines. Remember that you need to do this right all the way from the beginning.Before you start promoting your website, check the following information.
(1) Is your website complete?. Having those "under construction" signs it is a traffic-killer, and most search engines will reject websites that are still under constructions.
(2) Check for bad links. Make sure that there is no broken links on your website.
(3) The most important part is to make sure that the Title and Meta tags are included in all your website's pages.Your Title is the description of your site, and should be good to also include some keywords.Your Meta keywords tag contains keywords, which further describe the website. It is important to include the Title and Meta keywords on all your pages, because search engines use the description and keywords when indexing your website. Meta tags also contain words that can help visitors to find your site when doing a search. If you don't have Meta tags, the search engines will simply choose the first couple hundred words on your page and create its own description.
Now that you have the easy areas taken care of, start a process of visiting the major search engines, find there links to submit your website, read their instuctions and enter the required information. Do not submitt more than once every 30 days. Your website may take up to 6 weeks or more before you can find it in their results.
