Sherwood, Ohio
Flood of 2003
June 17, 2003 – The weather stations were calling for a 40% chance of rain. Well I think Sherwood and surrounding area got 140 %. The Rains started around 7:30am and didn’t let up for 2 hrs. as a storm system stalled out over the Sherwood area dumping in excess of 6 to 8 inches of rain. We had water coming from everywhere; Sheriffs office reported at 10am that Sherwood was in-accessible due to flooded roads. I have been in this town for 33 years and have never seen flooding like this. Many residents experienced some sort of damage before all was said and done.
